Drop Quench Furnaces

Furnace Engineering's drop-quench furnace performs solution heat treatment of aluminium parts with high precision. The furnace operates at around 540˚C with very close uniformity, and at end of cycle rapidly lowers the load from the furnace into the water quench, giving the aluminium components optimum material properties for subsequent age hardening. The heat/quench/pre-age cycle is automatically controlled, and integrates withthe optional multi-position bogie to allow multiple loads to cycle without manual intervention. Uniquely, our range starts at approx. 1 m3 chamber size and upwards. This furnace has found applications in a multitude of precision manufacturing situations, including for defence and aerospace. |
