Aluminium Shaft Melting Furnace Project

This highly efficient and versatile melting furnace was designed for a leading automotive diecasting facility, located in Australia.

The furnace features:

  • Automatic charging of ingots and returns, including charge bin accumulation system and weight control of the furnace.
  • Liquid metal charging
  • Vertical configuration for minimal footprint.
  • Highly controllable in both melt and hold zones.
  • Primary heat recovery inside the furnace (combustion gases are used to preheat the charge)
  • Secondary heat recovery via an external heat exchanger (pre-heating of combustion air).
  • Integrated for use with automated cleaning device.
